Zoga therapy in pediatrics – structural balancing Module II

presents manual methods. Soft tissue release techniques, supported by precise structural and functional assessment, are a fundamental element of the training. A structural understanding of the body's relationships helps us understand the relationships between multiple body areas.

Purpose and effects of the training:

  • During the training you will receive knowledge and skills related to: manual work, soft tissue release techniques supported by the ability to perform precise structural and functional assessment.

  • This method is very compatible with the principles of alingment used, for example, in NDT-Bobath therapy and is a very good preparation and complement to neurodevelopmental therapy.

  • The training will focus on areas that often pose challenges for therapists when working with children with neurological problems.

You will learn:

  • manual work methods;

  • structural understanding of the relationships in the body, which will allow us to understand the relationships between many areas of the body, which give us an idea of how stability determines proper function and how its disruption can lead to dysfunction;

  • when the relationships between the structures that create continuity are understood, you will learn to examine and evaluate their functioning and, through balanced work, restore balance and ease of functioning within the course of these structures.

During the training you will learn:

  • Detailed anatomy of a given area – short and intense presentations showing the most interesting perspectives on anatomical structures supported by autopsy recordings and palpation anatomy, presented in an engaging and understandable way,

  • BodyReading (visual assessment) – common movement and postural consequences – how to see and read the intricacies of individual patterns,

  • Myofascial Release Techniques – each technique is demonstrated with understanding and a precise “feel” so that they can be used immediately after returning from the training in everyday therapeutic work,

  • Working with children with various neurological problems using the techniques learned.

PROGRAM

Day I

Hip Joint Fans

  • Organizing the pelvic muscles around the three fans helps balance tilts and torsions.

Day II

  • Abdominal Cavity, Chest and Breathing

  • Structural changes in the trunk can affect breathing, upper limb mechanics, and the head, neck, and jaw. This section of the training demonstrates how the relationship between the thorax and pelvis can positively impact the mechanics of the thoracic spine.

Day III

Shoulder straps. Functional straps

  • Soft tissue techniques for the muscles of the shoulder girdle.

  • Structural Analysis – Interpretation of Structural and Functional Compensations.I

Day IV and V

Structural work for children with various neurological problems – 2 days
