Anna Srokowska
I am a graduate of the Eugeniusz Piasecki Academy of Physical Education in Poznań, majoring in Movement Rehabilitation, and the College of Physical Education in Bydgoszcz, majoring in Physical Education.
In 1997, I began working at the University of Physical Education, in the Department of Physical Education for People with Disabilities, and at the Social Welfare Home in Poznań. During this time, I focused primarily on physical education for people with disabilities and the rehabilitation of older adults. I also collaborated with the Foundation for People with Muscular Dystrophy. From 2002 to 2013, I worked at the Dr. A. Jurasz University Hospital in Bydgoszcz in the Rehabilitation Clinic, where I primarily rehabilitated patients with neurological dysfunctions, including those suffering from stroke, craniocerebral trauma, and spinal cord injuries, including those in coma. I earned my Specialist in Physiotherapy title in 2008 after completing my specialization at the Rehabilitation Clinic of the University Hospital in Bydgoszcz and successfully passing the exam.
In 2011, I began working at the Nicolaus Copernicus University Medical College in Bydgoszcz, Toruń, in the Department of Physical Education and Foundations. I teach physiotherapy students in the subjects of Adaptive Physical Activity and Sports for People with Disabilities. I also gained professional experience at the Atma Care and Treatment Center in Bydgoszcz (2015-2017). I currently work in the private practice Spine-med and collaborate with NZOZ Vitamed and AthleticoMed – Pain and Injury Treatment Center.
I am a member of the Polish Society of Physiotherapy and the Polish Society of Structural Integration. Since 1992, I have been collaborating with the Special Olympics, where I currently volunteer in the Healthy Athletes – Fit Feet program. I continually expand my physiotherapy practice by participating in professional training.
